Same Method as Early as 1985 [Back to contents]
In 1985, that is to say one year before the first changes from the name Cheynet to Cheynet de Beaupre, we find the same method of adding marginal notes in order to transform the Pustianaz family into Pustianaz von Priel.
Madame Angele Pustianaz was thus turned into Baroness Angele Pustianaz von Priel, allegedly descended from the Borghese and La Rochefoucauld families[1].
One is struck by the similarity of both handwriting and wording between the marginal note concerning Angele Pustianaz and the one concerning Constantin Cheynet. Moreover, why did the author of these forgeries feel the need to specify the father's name, and why was his age thus corrected?

The Father's True Name [Back to contents]
On
Angele Pustianaz's birth record, her father signed Puistianaz
Guiseppe even though the town hall clerk had Francized the name as Joseph
Pustianaz.
On the 1983 death record[2], Guiseppe is still called Pustianaz and not Pustianaz von Priel. His occupation is listed as "cleaner" and his father was a "farmer".
Yet on his death notice he was turned into a "Baron de Priel and of the Holy Roman Empire":
We also see in the Australian immigration records[3] that Angele Pustianaz's father, whose first name was Guiseppe, his wife Dorotea, and their daughter Sonia, Angele's half-sister, were all named Pustianaz and not Pustianaz von Priel when they arrived in Australia on April 11, 1954.

The Grandmother's True Name [Back to contents]
Guiseppe Pustianaz's death record shows that his mother's maiden name was Eufemia SANDRI and not Maria Antonia Elisabeth Euphemia d’ADDA. Guiseppe Pustianaz therefore had no family connection with the Borghese or the de La Rochefoucauld families.
