Destruction of Civil Records in the Ardeche Departmental Archives

Summary

The Ardeche Departmental Archives discovered that more than 187 pages had been torn out of civil-status and notarial registers.

According to the Archives, these acts of destruction mainly took place in August 2011 during a campaign to digitize the original records conducted by volunteers from a genealogical association, and they concern records relating to the Cheynet family.
