Following an inquiry ordered by the Association d'Entraide de la Noblesse Francaise[2], "the representatives of the Cheynet family were asked to resign from the A.N.F. in December 2011"[3].
In the list of families maintained by the Association d'Entraide de la Noblesse Francaise (A.N.F.)[4], one can moreover see that the name Cheynet de Beaupre no longer appears, nor any name containing the surname Cheynet.

Transcription Association d'entraide de la noblesse francaise. Paris, May 17, 2016 Sir, As former Vice-President of the A.N.F. in charge in 2001 of the Cheynet de Beaupre matter, I consider it my duty to inform you as fully as possible. Indeed, the Cheynet de Beaupre family was admitted to the A.N.F. at the General Assembly of June 9, 1989. The representatives of the Cheynet family were asked to resign from the A.N.F. in December 2011 after verifications carried out by an independent expert on their family's agnatic ancestry. These verifications concluded that the records submitted did not match the original records. Those resignations were made by letters dated December 13 and 15, 2011. Should you face legal proceedings, the A.N.F. would be able to provide all the necessary evidence showing that the Cheynet family is absolutely non-noble. |
