Despite an agreement reached in November 1987 to invalidate the marginal note that altered their father's surname from Cheynet to Cheynet de Beaupre on the civil records, a note stating that "the groom is named Cheynet de Beaupre" was added to the Catholic marriage record of Marc Cheynet and Louise Guerad dated December 5, 1931.
A marriage certificate issued by the Archbishopric of Lyon and dated May 16, 1988, that is to say six months after the agreement mentioned above, was used to secure the admission of the Cheynet de Beaupre family to the Association de la Noblesse Francaise.
The copy held by Saint Augustine parish was not altered.
